  1. haha! I tweeze in the car too! I don’t find toys in my bag anymore now the kids are older, but I have noticed MY lipgloss is missing more often that not! My teen is a ‘tea leaf’ lol #puddinglove

    1. It’s so nice to find a tweeze in the car buddy! Some days I think maybe just maybe I’ve slightly cracked under this parenting game!

    1. I still haven’t done mine! Managed the eyebrows in the car yesterday morning though after I remember I was conducting interviews that day at work so thought I best look more professional !!! #mumfail

  2. Great post! Gave me a laugh for sure. I used to resemble all of these remarks. As the kids get bigger you can manage a few extra minutes to yourself – sometimes. I try to take a few minutes with the tweezers, but I always get interrupted by my girls wondering why I could possibly want to pull hairs out of my face.
    Loved this post! #puddinglove

    1. It’s so true I always get mummy what you doing, can I have a go, but why! It’s easier to give up than shave or pluck with an audience lol

    1. Absolutely I was at work and out my hand in my pocket to get my car keys and pulled out fireman Sam and Penny – I was like yep I’m a mum lol

  3. Very much enjoyed this. We certainly all do these things at one time or another. Also I’m also weird and pluck my eye brows in the parking lot at my work in my car probably once a week. I mean hey you got to do what you got to do. And I really wish I had more energy to shave my legs. My friends who aren’t moms frequently give me the eye roll when I say this. But who has that long to spend in the shower these days.

  4. Ha ha great post – I once went to a course with a set of toddler keys in my bag and everytime I shuffled my feet they would go off with a doorbell sound! The trainer kept telling people to turn their mobile phones off… Still despite the panda eyes, large eyebrows and constant coffee breath, you are right its totally worth it when they say ‘I love you’ Thanks for sharing with #PuddingLove x

  5. Ah that’s such a lovely way to finish the post. My boys are 11 and 7 and I still have most of these things! Particularly the dark skin under my eyes and the ponytail!
Ah well, it’s all worth it in the end isn’t it?

  6. I so get this! It’s exhausting and the idea of making sure I am plucked, shaved, clean clothed and smiling every day is ridiculous unless you have an army in the house! Rather my daughters know what’s important to me which is them! Sometimes I look ok, sometimes like crap but I’m there and that’s what matters!

      1. Totally agree I’d rather be there for them than spend ages away from them that can wait lol. We will have plenty of time to do these things when they’re older 🙂

  7. oh this is so true when they are small and I know you’re going to find this hard to believe but as they get older all that care for you gets a whole lot easier – I promise! #fortheloveofBLOG

  8. Oh the amount of times I’ve been leaving work, looking for my car keys and I pull random child type things from my bag! My colleagues find it most amusing! Great post and good to know we’re not alone in these things! 🙂 #fortheloveofBLOG

  9. Yup! All this along with leaky nipples and I’m soon to do it all again soon (though I won’t be as new this time, hopefully I’m a pro now)! Thanks for linking up to #MarvMondays. Kaye xo

  10. I am very guilty of these “mum traits” especially random items in my handbag and constantly in need of caffeine (or wine!). It’s funny that once we become a Mum we let certain things go – like shaving legs. I’m also guilty of constantly talking about my baby to friends and family too. A post that lots of us can relate to, thanks for linking up at this week at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x

    1. Yeah same here all I talk about is my little man and I must drive my Facebook friends insane with updates and photos on him and his life

  11. Love this post & I can see myself in all these 7 points! I actually really like your idea of keeping a spare pair of tweezers in the car! #MarvMondays

  12. HAHA yes these are completely true and is nice to know not only me !!. the ponytail is always the hairstyle of choice or if have an extra minute a messy bun !!. #weekedendblogshare

  13. I can relate. Today I was just too tired to put my make up on and do my hair and wear nice clothes even though we were going to a party. I just put on some leggings, a comfy t shirt, put my hair in a pony tale and we were on or way. I ended up with chalk all over my leggings bc my one year old was playing with it. Oh well. That’s a mom life! Lol!

  14. Haha! Yep – I sport every one of these! My sister (child free) showed me a video of “microblading” the other day, quite convinced that I would love the idea and sign up for a course of eyebrow slicing and colouring in immediately. She then took one look at my bedraggled catterpillars and raised one of her very own perfectly shaped ones in disapproval at me. I told her I’m lucky if mine see a tweezer, let along a “microblade” 😉 Thanks for linking up lovely. #fartglitter x

  15. Oh yes, this is definitely me! I have been sporting either a bun or a pony tail since my little one was born and have cut in a fringe too (it’s great for hiding the bushy eyebrows). I think another way of spotting fellow mum is how they react to your child having a tantrum – if they react sympathetically, or give you that knowing smile, you know they are a fellow parent!
