Sharing Your Good News With The World When You Have A Baby
It’s certainly one of those events that you are always going to want to share with people as best as you can. But if you are unsure exactly how to do so, the fact is that there are several ways in which you might want to approach it. As it happens, there are a lot of great ways to tell the world that you have had a baby, but there are also some issues around privacy and security that you might need to consider. So let’s take a look at this now in some detail, and see what you might want to bear in mind on this front.
Start With Immediate Family
You will probably want to start by telling the people closest to you, and closest to the baby too. So that will generally be your immediate family – your parents, grandparents, siblings and so on. It is important to tell them first, because you don’t want to upset or offend anyone who might feel that they have a right to know before the whole world does. This is one of those slightly political family matters that can prove to be really important, so you should make sure that you are thinking about it at least.
Get Official Photographs Taken
A great way to share and spread your joy too is to make sure that you get your official photographs taken, of you and the newborn together and some of just the newborn. These can then be shared as you like, whether you want to do that online or through group chats or however else you might be thinking of doing it. But be sure to make the photos as good as possible by getting a professional newborn baby photographer, as they will know what they are doing and how to make the photos look great.
Be Careful With Social Media
If you are thinking of sharing photographs of your newborn on social media, you should take great care with this. In fact, a lot of people would say that this is absolutely not worth doing. There are plenty of critical security and safety issues related to this, not to mention the fact that your child might not appreciate all those photos being up there online for all to see when they have grown up. So make sure that you are taking care here. If you are unsure, just don’t do it at all.
Friends & Extended Family
You might then want to think about sharing the news with other people in your life who are slightly more distanced from you. For instance, you may have lots of friends who are keen to know about your baby and to meet them, and extended family as well. For most of these it might be a good idea to send mass messages, or simply to wait until you next see people and do it that way. It’s all down to you in the end, so simply make sure that you are doing it however you want.
